Even the most adventurous of travelers would be hard pressed to take in all, or even most, of the great experiences the city of Chicago has to offer over the course of a single weekend. Amazing music, delicious food, legendary sports teams, beautiful museums; these are just some of the things that bring visitors back to Chicago again and again.

But aside from the stunning downtown architectural wonders, exciting sporting events, and fantastic dining experiences, the city of Chicago also boasts a bustling theater community, featuring a variety of acclaimed stage productions both downtown and in the surrounding suburbs.

If you’re planning on visiting Chicago in the near future, make some time to experience these great theater events!

Broadway veteran Maureen McGovern stars in the musical stage adaptation of this timeless classic that follows the lives of the March sisters. This tale of friendship and family is perfect for all ages, and can be experienced at Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theater from January 26 to February 5, 2006.

Monty Python's Spamalot: Spamalot tells the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on their quest for the Holy Grail.
